Officer's Shashka model 2909
Standard parade&everyday officer's weapon. Microprojectors in the blade may generate very unstable, but incredibly sharp "force edge" several microns wide, allowing it to slice nearly everything... But you have only mare second to strike before "force edge" dissolves. Also, it can be used without activating force edge.
Of course, this is not Warhammer 40k, so most of the time it is just beautiful hi-tech toy - no Russian officer is insane enough to fight machine guns withe a blade, officers even don't care to carry it to the most of the battles... However, there are two exceptions:
First is fighting with some special enemies - like Swarm or another xenospecies which prefers close attacks with huge numbers.
The second is such case as decisive battle. During the centuries-old traditions of Russian military, every soldier must enter decisive battle carrying all his military awards and parade weapon with him. Yes, even if he's aerospace fighter pilot...
However, such thing as decisive battle is not very common in XXXI century.
